We think one of the misconceptions about senior portraits are that they must either be taken in Fall when school starts, or in late Spring before graduation. And while both of these seasons are fantastic in their own ways — we really love photographing winter and early spring senior sessions. Our seniors are less stressed with school than during the last half of spring, and outdoor locations are much less busy than in the autumn. Plus, winter doesn’t always mean snow! Just take a look at Emma’s winter session — we were able to capture photos of her at Galena Creek in lightweight, bohemian clothing. She started the session off with a flowing, patterned peasant blouse with a black felt hat and jeans. Despite the chill, Emma wanted to capture photos in her favorite floral sundress. Mom even hopped in to capture a few mother and daughter photos!
