There are numerous gorgeous locations around Lake Tahoe where a couple can host their wedding celebration. Edgewood, located on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe, is a beautiful location nestled right on the beach and boasting gorgeous views looking at some of the best peaks in the Western Sierras. We have photographed weddings here for a variety of clients over the years and continue to be awed as we enter Edgewood and drive down their tree lined driveway along the championship golf course to park right next to the lakeshore.
The views, the soft sand on the beach, the tranquil setting… all lend to that feeling that you have reached Lake Tahoe, resort style. The venue itself boasts ceiling to floor length windows overlooking the sierra views, the rock patio hosts cocktails and ceremonies, and the large event room can hold a number of friends and family celebrating Tahoe style.
Ciara and Patrick’s wedding day was beautiful. They decided to have their ceremony at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church and their wedding reception at Edgewood. Many of their guests were visiting the Lake Tahoe area for the first time and were from the Southern California area. A nice breeze drifted over the water and the sun burns warm and bright into the late evening on the south shore.

Below is a photograph of Patrick seeing his bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle. Trevor and I photograph together during most of our clients ceremonies and present our couples with their photos in real time. Having two professional photographers photograph your wedding really adds to retell the story that unfolds during the day. We can simultaneously journal our couple’s emotions and expressions. For example, I captured the picture above of the bride walking down the aisle and Trevor captured the reaction of the groom as he saw his bride for the first time on their wedding day. Photographed practically simultaneously in real time from two perspectives.




We couldn’t have asked for a sweeter ride to photograph the couple with and then we took the Green’s out to the beach to photograph their bridal session and capture the natural beauty of the area. Patrick decided to show us his Karate Kid moves and Ciara kept looking gorgeous with every photograph we captured.
